Report for second quarter of fiscal year 2025 released

The OIG published its second quarterly report for fiscal year 2025, showing the recovery of more than $93.4 million in overpayments from providers, clients and retailers participating in Texas Health and Human Services programs.

The report details agency performance metrics, department initiatives and agency highlights. OIG investigators’ efforts to return overpayments to the State of Texas are also featured in cases such as a $17 million self-disclosure settlement with a group of pediatric hospitals and a retailer who allowed customers to obtain credit at the store and pay off their balances using SNAP benefits.

Current and previous quarterly reports are available here. The OIG will publish the next quarterly report in June.
