OIG audits Medicaid medical transportation organization

The OIG conducted an audit to determine if a Texas Medicaid managed transportation organization met contract requirements.

During the audit period of September 1, 2016, through August 31, 2017, Project Amistad received $12.5 million in capitation payments for providing non-emergency medical transportation services to an average of 234,469 Medicaid recipients per month. While Project Amistad accurately managed complaint, accident, and incident data, the audit found it was missing other data elements.
