OIG audits medical transportation provider

The OIG conducted an audit of a medical transportation provider's performance to determine if it complied with contractual and state requirements.

The OIG conducted an audit of American Medical Response, Inc. (AMR), a Texas Medicaid managed transportation organization (MTO). The audit objective was to determine whether AMR’s performance in selected areas was in  accordance with contract requirements.

Audit results indicated that the transportation encounter data was accurate and supported by information in Access2Care, and the data used to form audit conclusions was reliable.

The OIG Audit Division reviewed Demand Response driver logs, ITP mileage reimbursement forms, and AMR’s management of complaints. Results are detailed in the full audit, found here. Read it here: https://tinyurl.com/y2a2xn8c
