OIG audits Vendor Drug Program provider

The OIG completed an audit of a Vendor Drug Program provider that found an overpayment of $88,120 owed to the state.

The objectives of the audit of were to determine whether Medicine Man Pharmacy, a Texas Vendor Drug Program (VDP) Provider, properly billed the VDP for Medicaid claims submitted, and whether Medicine Man complied with contractual and Texas Administrative Code (TAC) requirements.

Auditors offered recommendations to Medicine Man which, if implemented, will correct deficiencies in compliance with contractual and TAC requirements.
